  • 4 cups mini chocolate chips
  • 46 Chocolate squares, cut in half
  • 16 oz. (1Ib) semisweet or dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 and 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 4 oz. dark or semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 3/4 cups heavy cream, divided
  • 2 tablespoon powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease and prepare cake pans.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Sift flour, cocoa, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add Eggs and Flavorings: Add eggs, vanilla, and coffee mixture. Mix in sour cream.
  5. Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients: Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk to the batter.
  6. Divide Batter: Divide batter into 6 portions.
