  • Author: Olivia
  • Total Time: 18 minutes
  • Yield: 4 wraps 1x

Description

These Grilled Shrimp Caesar Wraps combine smoky, seasoned shrimp with a creamy homemade Caesar dressing, fresh romaine lettuce, and Parmesan cheese, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Perfect for a quick and flavorful lunch or dinner, these wraps offer a delicious twist on classic Caesar salad with the added protein of grilled shrimp and optional crunchy toppings like bacon and croutons.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

For the Caesar Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Wraps:

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (shaved)
  • 1/2 cup croutons (optional)
  • 4 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp: In a bowl, toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Grill the Shrimp: Preheat your grill or grill pan. Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque, ensuring they are cooked through but still juicy.
  3. Make the Caesar Dressing: In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic until smooth.
  4. Season Dressing: Taste the dressing and season with salt and pepper to your liking, adjusting seasoning as needed.
  5. Warm the Tortillas: Heat each flour tortilla in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable.
  6. Assemble the Wraps: Spread a generous layer of the Caesar dressing over each warm tortilla. Top with grilled shrimp, chopped romaine lettuce, shaved Parmesan, and, if desired, crumbled bacon and croutons for extra crunch and flavor.
  7. Wrap and Serve: Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll tightly from the bottom up to encase the filling securely. Slice each wrap in half diagonally and serve immediately for the freshest taste.

Notes

  • You can substitute grilled shrimp with cooked chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free tortillas and gluten-free croutons or omit them.
  • To make the wraps ahead, keep the shrimp, dressing, and lettuce separate and assemble right before serving to prevent sogginess.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic and lemon juice in the dressing to customize the flavor intensity.
  • Grilling can be done on an outdoor grill or a stovetop grill pan depending on availability.
