Topping:
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until blended.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until just combined.
- Prepare Cinnamon Mixture: In another bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread half the batter in the pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture on top.
- Layer and Swirl: Dollop remaining batter over the cinnamon layer and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon mixture. Swirl gently with a knife.
