  • Author: Olivia
  • Total Time: 2 hours 15 minutes (including chilling time)
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

Chilled Peach Moscato Sangria is a refreshing and fruity cocktail perfect for warm weather gatherings. This delightful blend features fresh raspberries, strawberries, and ripe peaches combined with sweet Moscato wine, triple sec or Chambord, and peach or pineapple juice. Topped with a bubbly fizz from ginger ale or soda water, it offers a light, flavorful drink that’s easy to prepare and wonderfully enjoyable chilled.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit

  • 6 ounces fresh raspberries (around 1 cup, with extra for topping)
  • 16 ounces fresh strawberries (2 cups, hulled and sliced, with extra for topping)
  • 2 ripe peaches, nectarines, or oranges (sliced)

Liquids

  • 1 chilled 750 ml bottle of Moscato (white or pink)
  • 1/2 cup triple sec or Chambord
  • 1/2 cup peach or pineapple juice
  • Ginger ale, soda water, or ginger beer to top

Instructions

  1. Add Fresh Fruit: Begin by placing the fresh raspberries, hulled and sliced strawberries, and sliced peaches or nectarines into the bottom of a large pitcher. Using fresh fruit helps infuse the sangria with natural sweetness and a vibrant fruity flavor.
  2. Pour Liquids: Pour the chilled bottle of Moscato, followed by triple sec or Chambord, and then peach or pineapple juice over the fresh fruit in the pitcher. This combination creates a balanced mix of sweetness and citrus notes.
  3. Stir Gently: Using a spoon, gently stir the mixture to combine all the ingredients carefully without bruising the fruit, allowing the flavors to meld nicely.
  4. Chill the Sangria: Cover the pitcher and place it in the refrigerator. Let the sangria chill for at least 2 hours to allow the fruits to infuse the wine with their flavors. For a deeper taste, you can leave it overnight but do not exceed 24 hours to maintain fruit freshness.
  5. Serve: When ready to serve, pour the sangria into wine glasses, filling them about three-quarters full, making sure to include some of the soaked fruit in each glass.
  6. Add Bubbly Topping: Top each glass with a splash of ginger ale, club soda, or ginger beer to add a refreshing fizz and enhance the overall drinking experience.

Notes

  • Use ripe, fresh fruits for the best natural sweetness and flavor infusion.
  • Chilling the sangria for several hours improves the depth of flavor.
  • Adjust the quantity of triple sec or Chambord based on your preferred sweetness.
  • For a lower sugar option, use soda water instead of ginger ale or ginger beer.
  • Serve with ice cubes if desired to keep the sangria extra cold.
