  • 3 Tbsp white sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. To a mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk to combine.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, vanilla, cinnamon, and egg. Whisk, then add melted butter and whisk again.
  4. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking to combine without over-mixing.
  5. Set batter aside and heat a skillet. Pour batter, cook each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove and keep warm until ready to serve.
