  • 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed and chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

For the Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Sauté Green Beans: In a large skillet, heat one tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add green beans, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for about 6 minutes until slightly charred and tender.
  2. Sauté Onion and Garlic: Drizzle the remaining olive oil in the skillet, add chopped onion, sauté until translucent, then add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Cook Ground Turkey: Add ground turkey to the skillet, brown until cooked through.
  4. Prepare Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, honey, chili garlic sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and seasonings.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Add green beans back to the skillet with cooked turkey, pour in the sauce, mix well, and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve: Serve over hot rice and enjoy!
